Voznesensk: Powering Ukraine’s Energy Independence with Solar Innovation

A Vision for Sustainability

The Voznesensk Solar Project is a vital contribution to Ukraine’s clean energy goals, demonstrating SUNEL Group’s commitment to sustainable energy solutions. Developed in 2019, this 13.5 MWp project was designed to accelerate Ukraine’s transition to renewable energy, reducing reliance on fossil fuels and enhancing national energy security.

Equipped with SCHMID PEKINTAS ENERGY monocrystalline panels and HUAWEI inverters, the installation ensures high efficiency and consistent performance, even under fluctuating weather conditions.

Overcoming Challenges with Innovation and Teamwork

The project encountered several challenges, requiring technical expertise and strategic problem-solving:

  • Grid Integration & Stability: Ensuring seamless synchronization with Ukraine’s power grid required advanced engineering solutions to optimize voltage stability and energy distribution.
  • Adaptation to Site Conditions: The mounting system had to be tailored for the specific environmental conditions of Mykolayiv, ensuring structural resilience and long-term durability.
  • Regulatory & Permitting Processes: Navigating local compliance requirements was a crucial part of the project’s success. SUNEL Group worked closely with stakeholders to ensure full regulatory alignment.

Through collaborative engineering, adaptive solutions, and strategic planning, the project was successfully completed, delivering clean, stable energy to the Ukrainian grid.

The Human Impact

The Voznesensk Solar Project is more than just an energy initiative—it represents economic growth and job creation. The development and construction phases involved over 100 professionals, including engineers, project managers, and local workers, boosting employment in the region.

Beyond job creation, the project’s sustainable energy output supports local communities, reducing dependency on imported fossil fuels and fostering long-term energy independence for Ukraine.

Powering the Future

With 13.5 MWp of installed capacity, Voznesensk Solar Project exemplifies SUNEL Group’s dedication to renewable energy innovation. By generating clean power, reducing emissions, and supporting local communities, this project plays a key role in shaping Ukraine’s energy future.
