Branston: Advancing Lincolnshire’s Clean Energy Revolution

A Vision for Sustainability

The Branston Solar Project is an integral part of Lincolnshire’s renewable energy expansion, reinforcing the UK’s transition toward sustainable electricity generation. Built with Fixed Tilt technology, the project optimizes solar exposure and long-term energy efficiency.

By integrating Canadian Solar panels and Huawei inverters, Branston ensures stable and consistent energy output, contributing to cleaner air and a reduced carbon footprint in the UK.

Overcoming Challenges with Innovation and Teamwork

Deploying a 50 MWp solar farm required overcoming key challenges:

  • Land Optimization: Maximizing solar capture while minimizing land disruption was a priority, leading to the selection of Fixed Tilt mounting for improved efficiency.
  • Grid Connection Stability: Ensuring seamless energy export to the grid required precise power regulation technologies and advanced voltage control systems.
  • Regulatory Approvals: Navigating planning permits and environmental assessments involved strong collaboration with regulatory bodies to ensure compliance.

Through strategic engineering and meticulous execution, the project was delivered successfully, supporting the UK’s clean energy strategy.

The Human Impact

Branston has positively impacted local communities, creating over 100 direct jobs during construction while providing a long-term boost to Lincolnshire’s green economy.

By supplying clean power to thousands of homes, this project strengthens energy resilience, supports net-zero targets, and fosters a more sustainable future.

Powering the Future

With a 50 MWp installed capacity, the Branston Solar Project exemplifies SUNEL Group’s ability to deliver impactful solar energy solutions, helping to shape the UK’s clean energy transition.
