On Sunday, March 9th, SUNEL Group took part in the 2025 Athens Half Marathon, demonstrating our commitment to employee well-being, teamwork, and corporate social responsibility. A total of 25 employees participated in this event, which brought together thousands of runners in the heart of Athens.
Among them, two SUNEL colleagues successfully completed the demanding 21km Half Marathon, while the remaining team members took part in the 5km race – each contributing their energy, discipline, and shared commitment to personal and collective achievement.
This initiative formed part of our broader strategy to foster a strong internal culture built on inclusion, health, and meaningful participation. In the lead-up to the event, employees were actively engaged – not only in their physical preparation, but also in selecting the charitable cause they wanted to support. Through a company-wide questionnaire, the team collectively chose to support Elpida – Association of Friends of Children with Cancer, a renowned NGO that provides critical support to children and families impacted by cancer.
For every kilometer completed by our employees, SUNEL Group committed a financial contribution, with the total amount raised donated directly to Elpida. In this way, every step taken by our team was a step toward making a tangible difference in the lives of others.
This initiative is a reflection of what SUNEL stands for: empowering change, both within and beyond the energy sector. We are proud of our team for their dedication, and for embracing a spirit of solidarity, purpose, and positive impact – values that continue to shape who we are as a company.
We look forward to continuing our investment in programs that connect our people with the wider community, and that support causes aligned with our core principles of sustainability, resilience, and human-centered growth.
